Amusing and gory animated history about Vlad the Impaler. Why couldn’t our History class have been this interesting?!

SXSW 2012 Film Bumper – Theater Bum

Have you been to SXSW? Wanted to go? This is a funny promo for SXSW. Grease stains are the new casual friday!

Confession: We’d probably also draw penises on it if we were given a Wolfmother video to deface:

Wolfmother – White Unicorn (defaced)

The Boss by Alex Emslie.

Have a shitty boss? Check out this boss who would enjoy stapling your fingers to your work desk. Paper, rock, …paper clips?

We love awkward moments so this film warms the hole in our bitter little heart. As if baristas didn’t make us nervous enough, but after watching Marc Hardman’s “We Are What We Drink” we maybe have coffee flash cards in our pockets and practice in the parking lot before ordering.  Hush up, you!

‘We Are What We Drink’ premiered at the London Film Festival in 2010. It went on to make the final 15 in voting for the BAFTA Best Short Film Award in 2011.

This film also won the Best Use of the Word ‘Prick’ Award for Couch Fest Films 2011

Couch Fest Films “Best Animation” 2011.  Osman Cerfon‘s Sticky Ends is not as romantic as the title implies (sigh) yet it is still clever and dark as ever.

Osman Cerfon first studied graphic design in Chaumont, then Fine Arts in Epinal, and finally animation in “La Poudrière” school in Valence, where he graduated in 2007 with the film Tête-à-tête (Head-to-head). Since 2007, he works on various projects as a scriptwriter or as an animation technician. In parallel, he develops The Jinx Chronicles, a collection of short films where misfortune tracks those who alas find themselves on its way.

We’ve been there. This film captures that moment in every pure detail.

Gina and Daniel are madly in love. They arrange to meet for lunch at the cafe where they first met — each armed with exciting “news”.

Some of our favorite films from the CFF archive. Filmmakers don’t be fooled this woman is not a romantic

While proud to be included in Buffalo International Film Festival 2011, we wondered if it isn’t a little sexist that both buffalos in the laurels are clearly both males–hee hee!

Missed Couch Fest Films deadlines are heart-break since we loved ‘Awesome Truck Commercial‘ created by Mark Little.
